It is a great feeling to meet new people. Graduate school at Boston University is underway, with the first month coming to a close at the end of the week. I can't count the number of people I have met so far, but I do know the majority of them are friendly, genuine, and intelligent people. Every professor who has shared their experience and history at BU has impressed me with their passion for the field, and more importantly, their love of teaching and learning. Most students have worked in a professional setting since their undergraduate studies. They also come from varied backgrounds, diverse countries, areas of the United States, and academic disciplines. Everyone has a unique perspective on public relations, which is refreshing. It has been a long time since I have worked with people who have similar professional interests and goals. I also feel fortunate to have the opportunity to make new friends - you can never have too many. The rest of the semester lies ahead and I am looking forward to getting to know my classmates and professors. I am confident I will learn a lot from them, and in turn, myself.
